TRIP TO NAINITAL AND JIM-CORBETT NATIONAL PARK MAY 2015

An Educational cum Excursion Trip to Jim Corbett National Park and Nainital was organised for students of Classes V-VIII from 9 May 2015 to 12 May 2015.

Fifty three students from Classes V - VIII went to this trip accompanied by six teachers. It was a memorable experience as the students saw various animals in the Jim Corbett National Park and enjoyed the beauty of nature in Nainital.The students got first hand information about the animals living in the National Park and understood th importance of conserving wild Life.

A three days trip to Chail and Shimla was organised by   D.A.V. Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The students found Chail to be an amazing and picturesque hill station. The students were mesmerised by this paradigm of beauty and serenity. The region, drenched in the most colourful hues of tranquillity also provided magnificent places to visit The Maharaja's Palace is situated on the Rajgarh Hill offered breath-taking views of the sprawling surroundings. The Palace Garden was an ideal place where the students could breathe unpolluted clean air and  play around and have great fun. The Cricket Ground that is acclaimed to be the highest in the world also won student’s heart. Located at an altitude of 2,144 m, the ground surrounded by beautiful and soaring deodar trees was an adventure for the students as it paved the path for a short trekking.
The students got a magnificent view of the scintillating Sunset from the auspicious Sidh Baba ka Mandir. They worshiped the deity and seek her blessings. They also explored the great variety of flowers that blossomed at the pavement of the temple. The first night spent by the students at the resort helped in bringing out their undiscovered talents. A bonfire was organised for the students were they showcased their talents. On the second day of the trip, the students visited Shimla and Kufri. The students were bewitched to see beautiful architecture of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study and its huge library. The stroll at the Mall road energised the students and conjured the shopaholics in them. They not just enjoyed the buzzing roads, but also relished the creamy softies. The place offered the students an opportunity to buy gifts for their loved ones. At night, the students wore their dancing shoes and had utmost enjoyment during the Dj party. On the third day, the students departed from the resort and cherished the scenic beauty on their way to Pinjore Garden, where they walked around the tall trees and fountains. At night, the students returned to school with sweet memories on their minds.

Visit to Nehru Planetarium

Around 35 students from DAV, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi along with 2 teachers were visited Nehru Planetarium to see the sky show on 5/4/2014. This was an educational trip for the up gradation of knowledge of a student.
