INDIA’S FIRST ATAL TINKERING LAB RUN BY SOLAR POWER

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.

The Principal , Mrs Anju Puri firmly believes that every change starts with self and she not only gives this message to the students but also tries to find practical solution to protect the environment.

In this context her latest effort was to make Atal Tinkering Lab the first one in the Country to run by Solar power. She initiated the process and a team of teachers and stuents enthusiastically started working on the project.

They did the essential spade work and the solar plates were purchased. The idea was to involve the students practically in fixing them. Thus the students took the solar plates to the roof ,found ideal location , measured voltage ,fitted all the connections under the expert supervision.

At the outset of the new session our ATL became equipped with solar power and in the process the students learnt a great deal about the practical use of solar energy.
