Nehal S: DAV Vasant Kunj’s Lightning Bolt

Nehal S of Class X has many medals to his name. He has won National Championship Award at various athletic events. He went over as National Champion after winning the State Athletic Championship. He was selected by GAIL India in the GAIL India Speed Star to go for training (one month) at Usain Bolt's Academy Jamaica. It was the most amazing moment when he won a gold medal at the Gibson Relay in Jamaica. He was also pictured in the Khelo India Poster to be exhibited nationally. At Jamaica, he was the only one to be interviewed by journalists during the international event.

Qualified for Nationals (JUDO)

Deepak Deswal of class XI got a gold medal in the Judo Tournament at DAV Sports 2017-18,under 19 Boys category, weighing below 90 kgs. He has been selected for the Nationals to be held at Ambala in December,2017.

He also secured a gold medal at the Zonal 2017-18, under 19 boys. He again bagged a Gold Medal in an Inter Zonal

2017-18, under 19 Boys, leading to the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Nationals.

Manvi Rawat of class XII participated in Air Rifle Shooting trials held at Ahlcon International School ,Mayur Vihar on 29th October ,2017 .She has qualified for 63rd School Games Federation of India (SGFI) to be held from

29th November to 5th December ,2017 in Pune.

Our School Chess team bagged 1st prize amongst 13 teams and also qualified for All India D.A.V. National Chess Tournament to be held in Jaipur.
